Backflushing adalah prosedur pembersihan wajib di akhir hari operasional. Semi-Automatic: Barista mengontrol volume ekstraksi secara manual (menekan tombol untuk memulai dan menghentikan aliran air). Mesin ini memberikan kontrol penuh, ideal untuk specialty coffee tetapi menuntut konsistensi barista.
